Our recycling / disposal advice
Ideally petrol should be used where possible (when not contaminated).
If use is not an option, do not dispose of petrol near ponds, ditches, down drains or onto soil to soak away as this causes pollution of groundwater.
Try calling a garage or another location where a solvent disposal point is available. Members of the AA (or similar automotive organisations) can contact them for advice.
Empty packages may contain some remaining product. Hazard warning labels are a guide to the safe handling of empty packages and should not be removed.
