WasteAware Secondary School Education Programme 2010

Following the successful 2008 and 2009 campaigns, the WasteAware Partnership is pleased to announce that the secondary school education programme will be extended for 2010. The theme for this years programme is waste reduction which focuses on the national Love Food Hate Waste campaign.
The programme will enable Year 7, and 8 in 30 Hertfordshire schools to view ImpAct Universal Limited's 'Love Food Hate Waste' theatre production, which is designed to get students thinking about the impact that waste has on our environment and how some simple steps to reduce waste can benefit us as consumers while also benefiting the environment. The theatre production will be followed by a competition for students to produce their own recipe booklet to encourage peers, friends and families to reduce the amount of food and drink they throw away. This can then be sold for the benefit of the school. For more information please follow the link above.
