Congratulations to three lucky Hertfordshire teachers!

This feature was added on 1st September 2005
Over 150 Hertfordshire Key Stage 2 teachers attended the multiple launches of the WasteAware 'Challenge Waste!' education pack. Held across the county from May to July the launches took the form of twilight workshops in order for teachers to benefit from a demonstration of the relevance and ease in which the education pack can be used in the school environment.
With the start of the September term now imminent, the pack is now in situ in the majority of Hertfordshire Key Stage 2 schools. Those schools which could not attend a workshop will receive a personal introduction to the pack by their area's Recycling Officer in the new term.
Teachers who attended a workshop were invited to complete an evaluation of the launch to provide useful feedback…but also to be in with the chance of winning one of three weekend trips to Cornwall!
Three evaluation forms were drawn at random in July, therefore entitling three teachers to choose a companion to join them in enjoying the stay in Cornwall. The trip for two includes travel, three nights' dinner, B&B, entry to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan.
The WasteAware winners are…
- Pat Froud from St. Hilda's School, Harpenden
- Julia Hore from Shenley JMI School, Radlett
- Clare Condon from Wilshere Dacre Junior School, Hitchin

Congratulations from the Hertfordshire WasteAware Partnership!
Two of the winners were able to come to County Hall in Hertford on Thursday 18th August to receive full details of their trip from members of the WasteAware team and County Councillor Derrick Ashley, and to complete the booking form.
